Stanley Tucci - Searching for Italy

by Jay M. » Mon Mar 22, 2021 9:22 pm

Did anyone watch this 6-part series on CNN? It’s mostly food related and focused on different regions. The last episode was this past Sunday evening. I thought it was well done. The man obviously loves Italy.

Thanks, Jay! For those of us who missed it, it appears we can catch up with most of it - maybe all? - at this CNN link:

Yes, excellent show. Hope he continues it to other countries. Filled in a little of the void left by Bourdain.

Side note. Tournament of Champions is back on Food Network. Louisville chef, Darnell Ferguson is already pulling off upsets.

We have also been enjoying Fast Foodies. A little/lot more on the lighter/juvenile side of cooking shows.

Culinary masters Kristen Kish, Jeremy Ford and Justin Sutherland compete to perfectly recreate, then skillfully reimagine a celebrity guest’s favorite fast food dish.

This is a really good show, far better than most of the foodie shows and a worthy follow-up to Anthony Bourdain's show. I believe when it's all said and done there will be 20 episodes, one for each of the regions of Italy.

I think it's hard to compare to Bourdain's show, but it is quite well done.
