You can add Shady Lane Cafe to the list as I was just there and sat next to a heater on the sidewalk. Their front-facing tables are well spaced, not sure about the side. Also, one caution about Kaelin's--most of the patio is now encased in a fully-enclosed tent. Kind of defeats the purpose in my mind.

Thanks, Steve. I appreciate added comments to this list. I won't edit the original because it's Laura's project and she likes to confirm everything with the restaurants. I'll pass your notes along to her, though, if that's okay.

Captain's Quarter's is on this list, though the just announced that they are closing until March, 2021. That makes sense for a place like that, certainly difficult for the employees. Makes it a good time to plug: https://www.aproninc.org/

Laura updates her list frequently. I'll look for a more recent version tomorrow and update the original post.

Gravely has a covered patio with one small heater. The heater doesn't do much, but the beer stays cold.

The heated igloos at Le Moo are fantastic.

Now that it's cold enough that even patios and tents with heaters aren't really viable, are there any places y'all have seen that seem to be doing a particularly good job with distancing and ventilation?

I realize the most cautious of us aren't going to eat indoors regardless, and I understand that 100%. I'd put myself in the next tranche of slightly less cautious, but still pretty cautious, folks. Most indoor dining right now makes me uncomfortable, but I can be open to the possibility of it if the conditions are right.

The Le Moo igloos Justin mentions are intriguing. Anything else?

Following up on my own question, some research indicates these places have igloo/bubble dining:

- Le Moo
- Grassa Gramma (HT to Robin's review)
- Village Anchor
- Gustavo's (all 4 locations)
- Martini's
- Fork & Barrel?
- Limon y Sal

That's a very good question, Jeff, thanks! Laura has switched to a more complex social media list with emoji as indicators that can't be translated to the forum, but I'll check with her and see if she's made up a canonical list of bubble/igloo places.

Limon y Sal just posted a video on facebook that shows tons of igloos covered in snow. Makes me wish I was there last night.

Volare does a good job. Even at the bar although it is difficult when people at the bar get out of the seats to mingle.

The Courier mentioned that 8Up has igloos. They also featured Grassa and Gustavo's today. The CJ has done a nice job of interviewing a set of three or so restaurants about every week. They check on their progress, ask questions about their adjustments, and ask about their popular pandemic dishes. It's a nice way to give these mostly-local places a boost during these times.

Now that warm weather is back, I'll set this pinned post free. As we continue to recover from the pandemic, though, please feel free to share any restaurant information that helps keep people safe.
