Help!

by Carla G » Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:40 am

I’m trying to remember the name of the goat farm found in the Southern part of Indiana that does the big sampling /bbq dine out every year. There were some postings about it within the last 2 or 3 years. I remember the landscaping was beautiful there! It may have been the Capriole farm but I don’t think so.
Can anybody help?

Yeah, I think it was Capriole.

Yes, that certainly looks like it. I didn’t remember it being that long ago. From the Capriole website it looks as if they no longer keep their own goats. (Sigh)
Thanks for finding that thread.

Are you looking for goat milk/cheese or an event space? If you’re looking for the milk, etc. there is a place in Corydon called De La Luna Farm owned by Caroline Rosa Kersten. She makes beautiful cheeses, etc.

If you can't find it, goat milk stuff is at https://goatmilkstuff.com/

(technically in Sellersburg, tho it seems North of there to me)

Great tours, especially if you have a passel of little ones you are trying to entertain!

I saw a billboard for them on my way back from Normal, Illinois. That’s what got me thinking about my previous visit to a goat farm and how much we enjoyed it. I’ll check their website as well.
Thank you!

Goat Milk Stuff is awesome. It is mostly run by the children. We didn't interact with anyone over 13 when we visited. We did the baby goat experience (hanging out with goats for 20 minutes) and bought some of their "goat milk stuff". It has been a couple of years, but I'm pretty sure the cheese was very good, but I definitely remember the sea salt caramels being delicious.

Goat Milk Stuff is great. We have't been in a couple of years because the prices for tours and things went up dramatically, but when we used to go it was really fun. The family does a fantastic job of running the place and they take really good care of their goats.

Many thanks for these suggestions. Nothing like first hand experiences! :D
