Liege Waffles and Dairy

The busiest parking lot in Louisville is about to get worse! The Middletown Havana Rumba has a new neighbor in Liege. Combine that with simply Thai at the end and you have two great dinner options before dessert. The problem is parking. That section is consistently full thanks to card from Enterprise that have reserved spots. Glad to have them in the neighborhood though as our one experience there before was quite good!

I keep wanting to try Liege and Dairy. I'm always on the look-out for a good chocolate malted milkshake. :)

It's pretty good, but I haven't found better than Comfy Cow.

I really don't know why they would want to go into that plaza. Their business is more in and out instead of staying there for a while and people are going to park 200 yards away for that.

To be honest, we tried the Liege and Dairy at Holiday Manor a while back and weren't particularly impressed. It certainly wasn't bad, but I didn't see any reason to choose it over Comfy Cow (even in its current state), Homemade, Graeter's, Panchito's, Louisville Cream ... the list goes on.

I thought that Metro government and rules regarding number of parking spaces for certain establishments. Maybe this doesn't apply when somebody moves into a existing location? It's obvious by driving by this plaza that in the evening that it certainly doesn't work if it does apply!

I certainly don't understand why this restaurant or any other for that matter would want to move into that plaza without a huge incentive from the landlord. And from what I've heard landlord in that plaza is extremely difficult to work with.

A friend and I just went but left because we’re not paying $8.95 for a one scoop waffle sundae...

Not to quibble with anyone else in this thread, but I'm not sure you missed that much. Mary and I went to the one in Holiday Manor a while after it opened, and didn't think it was outstanding. As well as being highly priced. Graeters or HIC&PK would be a better deal. I'd say Comfy Cow, too, but sadly it seems they've fallen on hard times again. :(

The only thing that is going to bring me back is the yummy waffles. Those waffles with even average ice cream is still pretty good!
