Green District Salads to Franchise Nationally

by MarieP » Sat Feb 16, 2019 10:26 am

I hope it all goes well— I admit I do get a bit nervous when I hear of expansion though!

That is ambitious growth. Good luck to them.

Since the story is behind a paywall does anybody know where their 1st franchised store is going to be?

Article says one signed for Miami and one for Cincinnati.

For a business that calls themselves "green", they sure as hell don't practice green solutions. Everything they sell is plastic based and they don't recycle the discarded plastic salad bowls and lids. Plastic straws, forks, and styrofoam cups.

They bought out the old "Chop Shop" on Breckenridge Lane (outstanding salads, awful parking situation). The GD salads and dressings are mid, by comparison. It does not surprise me that they are trying to franchise, it certainly has that "feel."
