FYI

Discard and do not eat ANY Romaine lettuce until otherwise cleared by the CDC:

Ida know, Ronnie. I don't want to mess with e coli, especially a virulent form, but we've got a head of romaine here that's about half gone, and the first half didn't hurt us. Somehow I'm not too worried about the other half. You think I'm missing something?

I would toss it. Plenty of other lettuce in the sea. E coli is very nasty.
