Irish Rover get-together on January 16. Please read!

by Robin Garr » Sat Jan 06, 2018 10:05 am

I'm re-titling this pinned post because it appears that we have a crowd assembling, and it appears that of the two choices, just about everyone can make it on the 16th. this coming Tuesday evening.

It looks like there are about two dozen of us, so we should definitely let the Rover know we're coming. Would someone be willing to take on the task of contacting them?

Here's the current list. Please correct, make additions or, if you must, deletions, so we can keep a fairly accurate count:

CURRENT TOTAL: 19

Leah and Gordon (2)
Richard and Suzi (2)
Steve A (2)
Mark R (2)
Gordon Lowe (1)
Willie Myers (2)
Gayle DeM (3)
GaryF (1)
Steve S (2)
Robin and Mary (2)

There seems to be interest in a forum meetup/get-together/hangout/offline in the wake of the recent arson effort there, as a way to show our support for the Rover while enjoying a social evening. It's been a long time since we've had such a gathering, and it sounds like fun. Plus, Scotch Eggs, Guinness and more!

I'm going to throw out Tuesday, January 16, at 6:30 p.m., as a possible date, but if that's a no-go for you, please suggest another.

Who's in?

The 16th is good for me but the following week would be better. Still, I’m up for whatever is good for everyone else.

I'm fine with either! I do think early in the week is good, since it won't be as crowded if we bring in a posse.

Tuesday 1/16 works great for the 2 of us.

Thanks, Robin!

Either week works well for us, although the 23rd would probably be better. It will be 2 of us, maybe 3 depending on time etc.
