Venezuelan cuisine

by Gayle DeM » Sat Oct 29, 2016 2:01 pm

Does anybody know anything about the upcoming Venezuelan cafe opening soon in the Middletown Plaza next to Fat Jimmy's. (They are now in the hiring process.) I can't wait to eat some areas!

I wonder if these folks were at World Fest? Saw a booth full of happy people rocking some arepas on the belvedere

Wasn't Fernando M. going to be opening an arepas joint in the old Papalino's spot on Baxter?

I believe you're right! But that was a while back, and my guess is that if it hasn't happened by now, maybe it isn't going to happen.

Anyway, they're interesting to make, in that you have to have special precooked cornmeal.

There were the folks at Worldfest! I talked to them for a second. Best thing I had there, and I had a lot!
