Kites!

by carla griffin » Sat Mar 10, 2007 10:41 am

Just wanted to share this site with you folks. It's not really Louisville related but it made me smile and I think some of you might enjoy it.

Kites.

I think it's totally relevant to the Ville. I see people all the time at our parks (especially Waterfront) flying an assortment of kites. Thanks for the link.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

Into The Wind has gorgeous kites. When my husband and I were first courting in Chicago, he'd take me to the lake along Lake Shore Drive downtown and we'd fly his monstrous kites. They took two hands to operate and they'd sometimes literally pick me up off my feet.

I just bought him a couple this past Christmas from Into The Wind. We haven't had time to play yet, and you reminded me we need to get them out. The weather and wind is perfect today. Hope it continues.

Being as I work downtown, I am looking forward to seeing all the kites they fly down at Waterfront Park. It may cause me to not go back to work for the day. Isn't life grand?

Wouldn't it be cool if the riverfront became a regular place to go weekends and see LOTS of kites flying?! Reminds me of the beachfronts out west.

I have not flown a kite since I got Snoopy caught in a tree. Really.
