Daylight Savings / Forum Time Stamp

by Jay M. » Sun Mar 13, 2016 9:42 am

With this morning's change to daylight savings time, if you want to have the correct time stamp in the forum:

1) Select "Ucp" (user control panel) from top right of home page
2) Select "Board Preferences"
3) Set your time zone
4) Select "Yes" for "Summer Time/DST is in effect"

Thanks! I always forget about that every time the time changes! Most of the boards I participate in the time changes automatically but a few of them don't and I always forget the ones that don't.

Thanks, Jay! Great service! It's true, even in this age when all our devices and many of our clocks change the time for us, the forum relies entirely on user settings.

This still works (if anyone is interested).

Correct, and thanks! For some reason, the PhbBB forum system does not keep track of time changes. If you want current time, follow Jay's instructions. (I generally just look at my smartphone or watch. ;) )

Just an fyi - you all probably knew this (or figured it out), but you must be logged in to make these changes.
