We are heading to St. Louis for a long weekend. Multiple casual meals plus potentially 1-2 nice dinners, all with our 11 year old. The only recommendations I've heard so far are Pappy's and the Soulard Market. Any other great places to make sure we visit? We are staying in Clayton but happily drive for food. :D

Thanks!

Deb, An absolutely don't miss is Remy's Kitchen and Wine Bar, http://www.remyskitchen.com, which happens to be in Clayton! The Central West End/Maryland Plaza area(behind the Chase Park) is full of great restaurants--Bar Italia is one of our favorites. Both of the Schlafly locations (one is very close to Clayton and the other closer downtown) are fun to visit and we've had very good food. If you have time to browse, Straub's Market is a wonderful place for foodies--think Burger's on acid  ! They actually have several locations. We've not had memorable experiences on The Hill but we may not have gone to the right places??? So envious --have a great trip!!!

Deb,

You might try this blog for ideas on St. Louis. I like to follow this guy and he always includes great history about the restaurants he visits!
