Mister Buck's pet foods returning to Jeffersonville 09/07/13

by Lois Mauk » Sun Aug 04, 2013 8:32 am

All pet owners want to feed their animal companions well. It just makes good sense. The better you feed your pets, the healthier they are likely to be. But sometimes, money is an issue. Now there's no need to sacrifice quality in the name of economy.

We want to introduce you to a relatively new company that started doing business here in the Louisville area about 8 months ago. They're called Mister Buck's Genuinely Good Pet Food Company from Bloomfield, Indiana (not far from Bloomington). They make a super-premium natural and holistic line of dog and cat foods. Their objective is to make the best quality food they can and sell it to consumers at the most economical price possible.

Their foods have no corn(filler), no soy (filler) and no wheat (another filler). Animals can't digest corn any better than we can. They can't digest soy very well either. Same for wheat, which is known to be a common trigger for allergies in dogs. Generally speaking, I encourage dog owners all the time to avoid feeding foods which contain corn, wheat or soy. Check the label on the food you're currently feeding your pets and you may be surprised at the first three or four ingredients.

Mister Buck's is a tiny company with a huge heart and a giant social conscience. They are strong supporters of animal welfare organizations and police K9 units. They recently donated a year's supply of their food to both the Indiana State Police and the Louisville Police K9 unit. They are also generous donors to local animal welfare organizations like ours.

Mister Buck's offers a broad line of canned and dry dog foods as well as dry cat food. Check them out at http://www.mrbuckspetfood.com. Most of their product line has been on the shelf at the Rainbow Blossom on Lexington Avenue since January and can be delivered by Rainbow Blossom upon request to their other locations with a day's notice. http://www.rainbowblossom.com/

Announcing the first-ever Mister Buck's Van-Load Sale in Kentuckiana!

Mister Buck's Genuinely Good Pet Food Company will be here in Kentuckiana on Saturday, August 17th, from 10 AM to 1 PM for their first VAN-LOAD SALE in this area at the Sophie's Hope Thrift Shoppe in Jeffersonville. The address is 3808 East 10th Street (Hwy. 62), just west of the I-265 interchange.

Many GPA/Louisville members are head over heels in love with the new Rescue Blend kibble from Mister Buck's. Fifty (50) pounds of premium dry dog food for only $30! What a greyt deal! Our dogs are doing really well on this product. Most of our members are feeding the Pork & Beef variety but a few feed the Chicken & Rice. My pickiest eater in the pack is crazy about this food and we no longer have to wait for the sun, the moon and the stars to fall into the right configuration in order to get her to eat! She loves Mister Buck's.

Rescue Blend and the other Mister Buck's dog foods (canned and dry) as well as their dry cat food will be available at the van-load sale on August 17th. And their dehydrated pork liver treats too! See the flyer at http://www.gpalouisville.org/2013-08-17-MisterBucksVanLoadSale.pdf for pricing information.

We're really excited about the opportunity to introduce pet owners from throughout Kentuckiana to this line of quality products. I hope you'll pass on the word to your friends about this sale. If it goes well, Mister Buck's would really like to come back MONTHLY, which will be awesome for everyone in the area who likes these products. Eventually, they'd like to set up similar sales on the southern side of the river as well.

If you have questions about the food or the sale, let me know. If you have questions about the product or the company, visit Mister Buck's website or their Facebook page. Drop them a line; they're very responsive to inquiries. See http://www.mrbuckspetfood.com

Looking forward to seeing you at Sophie's Hope Thrift Shoppe in Jeffersonville at 10 AM on Saturday, August 17th.

Lois

Thanks, Robin. It's a great food and a great company. I'm hoping we can introduce lots of folks to Mister Buck's products.

If you can't make it over to Jeff on the 17th, check them out any time in the Pet department at Rainbow Blossom on Lexington Road.

I think it would be fun to come to the van sale and meet the people, though.

ANOTHER reason to love Mister Buck's Genuinely Good Pet Food Company. All the ingredients are sourced in the USA! Primarily in the Midwest.

Don't forget that Mister Buck's FIRST vanload sale in Clark County, Indiana will be on Saturday, August 17th, in the parking lot of Sophie's Hope Thrift Shoppe at 3808 East 10th Street in Jeffersonville. The hours will be 10 AM until 1 PM on Saturday.

A lot of our GPA/Louisville members have switched their dogs to the Rescue Blend kibble, mostly to the pork/beef variety. (There's also a chicken variety of the Rescue Blend.) Our members LOVE the value and the quality -- 50# for only $30!!! Their dogs love the food. What a deal!

If you have dogs or cats and you live in Kentuckiana (or if have family/friends who live here), this is an awesome opportunity to try Mister Buck's dry and canned foods. Please share this with your Facebook friends who live in this area.

Just a reminder, folks . . . The first-ever Mister Buck's vanload sale is tomorrow -- Saturday, August 17th -- from 10 AM until 1 PM at Sophie's Hope Thrift Shoppe at 3808 East 10th Street (Hwy. 62) in JEFFERSONVILLE, just west of the I-265 interchange.

This is a greyt company with a terrific product line. They're new to Kentuckiana but you're going to be hearing lots more about them in the future. (See http://www.gpalouisville.org/2013-08-17 ... adSale.pdf for more details, pricing, etc.)

Many of our members at GPA/Louisville are very, very happy with switching their dogs over to Mister Buck's Rescue Blend, which has no corn, no wheat and no soy, is all natural and is made in America with 100% of its ingredients sourced in America, primarily the Midwest. PLUS, it's priced at just $30.00 for FIFTY POUNDS.

Our group has pre-ordered about 25 bags of the Rescue Blend but the company tells me they're going to have plenty to go around, including their other dry food products, their canned dog foods, their dry cat food and their dehydrated pork liver treats for dogs.

If there is sufficient interest here in Clark County, we're hoping that we can persuade Mister Buck's to come back every month to repeat this parking lot sale. Plus, other opportunities for buying their products are expanding in the weeks or months to come.

Most of the Mister Buck's product line is currently available at the Rainbow Blossom store on Lexington Avenue; we're hoping smaller bags of the Rescue Blend will be on the shelf there soon. Also, Mister Buck's is coming to the PRICELESS grocery stores in Kentucky in the weeks or months to come as well; it's already available at the Priceless stores in the Evansville area. See http://www.mypricelessfoods.com for store locations, etc.

Hope you'll stop by Sophie's Hope tomorrow to check out this sale and take a look too at all the cool stuff available inside the Thrift Shoppe where the proceeds from all sales benefit Southern Indiana Animal Rescue.

Last month (August), we took part in the first-ever vanload sale of Mister Buck's Genuinely Good Pet Foods in Jeffersonville. Sales were so good that they're coming back! The van will be here at 10 AM on Saturday, September 7th.

If you're interested in trying a premium-grade dog or cat food at a value price, come check out the variety of products offered. See http://www.gpalouisville.org/2013-09-07-Mister-Bucks-Van-Load-pricing.pdf for special event pricing.

The vanload sale is from 10 AM until at least 1 PM at the Sophie's Hope Thrift Store at 3808 East 10th Street in Jeffersonville, just west of the I-265 interchange. Sophie's Hope is operated as a benefit for Southern Indiana Animal Rescue. They are so pleased with Mister Buck's products that they invited the company to return tomorrow to coincide with their monthly yard sale.

If you can't make it out to this special event tomorrow, you can still try Mister Buck's cat and dog food products by purchasing them at the Rainbow Blossom store on Lexington Road. (R.B. will deliver products to their other stores if that would be more convenient for you to pick up.)

Mister Buck's is working on expanding the availability of their awesome products at other Louisville area venues, which we will hopefully be announcing soon.

My dogs are CRAZY about this food, even the "Princess" who used to only eat when the sun, moon and stars were in a proper configuration. I'm crazy about the quality (no corn, no wheat, no soy) and the value (fifty pounds for $30!). Plus they have a 100% money back guarantee if you're not completely satisfied. Local company (near Bloomington) with a huge social conscience. Win-win-win for everyone!

Lois I just now saw this post. Guess I wasn't paying attention since I lost my cat a few months ago. I am sharing this link with all my friends that do have pets. I don't know if pet owners realize it or not but the problem with bad animal protein sourced from China that was found to be killing dogs (I think through kidney failure) is actually an on going problem, not a one time event. I found more occurrences of recalled pet food that has happened since but did not make the big news splash as it originally did. I saw where Mister Buck 's pet food is sourced totally from within the US. I wish I knew about it before my lovely pet died.

So sorry about the loss of your cat, Carla. I know all too well how difficult is can be to lose a pet. I think ingredients from China are going to prove to be a major problem throughout the food chain for humans and animals. Time will tell.

And, yes, Mister Buck's is made from ingredients sourced exclusively from the USA, the majority from here in the Midwest. People can learn more at http://www.mrbuckspetfood.com

Just last week, they began retail sales at Sophie's Hope Thrift Shoppe in Jeffersonville at 3808 East 10th Street (Hwy. 62), just west of the I-265 interchange. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sophies- ... 5913027252

40# bags of "Rescue Blend" dry dog food for $30. Limited supply of their foods are supposed to be available at Rainbow Blossom on Lexington Road. (R.B. has been saying that they were going to stop carrying Mister Buck's because the sales volume was too low.)

I can't say whether or not Sophie's Hope carries Mister Buck's cat food as well as the canned and dry dog foods. But anyone interested could give them a call at (812) 786-9324.
