Offline at Mussel & Burger Bar

by Gayle DeM » Mon Jul 15, 2013 9:21 pm

Anybody up for an offline at Mussel & Burger Bar on Monday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m.? We can have our own room and order off the menu. The head count will be called in to Christina on Friday, August 9.

Gayle,
I suggest a thread on the main forum to start- very few people read this forum.
I have to check calendars- that sounds wonderful!

I'm well aware of that, Deb. However, this is the place for this type of announcement and I would like to give it at least a week to see what develops here!

I totally deplore how everthing is posted under the heading Louisville Restaurant Forum, most of which, IMO, has little to do with Louisville Restaurants.

It's been way too long since we've connected with our hotbytes buddies.

It's on the calendar. Count Barbara and Steve A in.

Thanks, Gayle!

How about we leave this posted here but post a cross-reference from the main forum? :)

Meanwhile, I was going to say by reflex that I can't come because I'm too busy this summer, but wait! The Summer of Chaplaincy ends Aug. 9! (Mixed sadness and relief!)

Robin, I don't wish to cross reference this to the main forum. If followers of Hotbytes aren't interested in checking out the Offline section ? ? ? Please, let's give it till next Monday at least.

Gayle, I'm willing to do it your way. I just don't want anyone to be excluded. The fact is that the forum (sort of like some larger institutions  ) is a living and evolving community, and things change. This forum is on the bottom of the stack, and it doesn't show on the main page (at least the way it's set up on my screen). Years ago when the Offline Forum was active, I might have felt more as you do, but given that most activity has merged toward the main forum, I'm personally okay with that and don't feel hurt that it worked out that way.

Still, I respect your opinion and I'm willing to say, "Do it, Gayle!" 8)
