My remaining two sofas were bought in the mid-sixties. They have been reupholstered twice. That is where the Goss Avenue Antique Mall might come into play. But reupholstering is getting more and more expensive!

You will probably not be buying the floor models as most better furniture is made to order these days. Basset, Haverty's, Burdorf's and Macy's are all the same way. No one stocks a lot of inventory anymore.
