Next Great Baker finale

Late notice for all the forumites but TLC's Next Great Baker finale is tonight at 9. Ashley Holt has made her way to the top three and has a chance to win a feature in Red Book, working with "Buddy" the cake boss, and a crap load of money. Tune in and root for Louisville's own top contestant!

Ashley won The Next Great Baker! I would have expected a little more support for her on this forum. Either way, look out for Sugar Monster, it's owner knows how to work it!

I think it's GREAT that Ashley won, Mark! I don't get TLC, though.

I watched the finale and she did a great job. Her Vegas cake was hands down far superior to the other finalists. She put a fellow contestant in his place at the end which I enjoyed hearing but it almost cost her the prize.

I watched! Thought it was great. Glad her outburst at the end didn't cost her the win, but he had it coming.....

Plus, at least she won on the merits of her work! The other contestant in the finals tried to sabotage the other contestants at every opportunity, which I thought was just poor form!

I had no idea about this show until now. Is she from here? Sugar Monster is local? Either way, awesome!

Ashley is from central GA. She left GA as a teenager and went to NY to model. She has modeled internationally. She has done some local modeling, including a cover and spread in Leo. She has worked for me off and on for the last 4-5 yrs. She has waited tables and tended bar at all 3 of our stores. Sugar Monster is her new bakery business. It's not a brick and mortar site yet, but you can find it on line. Her work and creativity is unbelievable!

Wasn't part of her prize working in New York with Buddy?

She might have to put Sugar Monster on hiatus.

She will work for a year with Buddy in NJ. Sugar Monster brick and mortar will happen in 2014.
