Sallie, I'm sorry there haven't been any replies. Honestly, I have the impression that the age of the Internet, with Expedia and other travel sites and all the airline sites maximized for civilian use, that the travel agency business has pretty much gone down the tubes.

Looking over Google, I see that Carlson Wagonlit is still in Louisville. I used to use them for European travel back in the '80s and early '90s, before I started doing it myself. No guarantees after this long a time, but at least they have the benefit of longevity.

Here's one around town:
CARLSON WAGONLIT TRAVEL
2725 S HURSTBOURNE PKWY
Louisville, KY 40220
(502) 499-5678

I hop you get some more informed answers. :)

Not a travel agency, but a great starting point for Caribbean vacations.

Tripadvisor is also a great resource.

I used Platinum Travel agency (locally owned, or it was then, by one of my neighbors) for a tour I did two years ago. I was pleased. But most of the time, like Robin, I just do it myself on the Internet.

Christine at Platinum is who I recommend. She was able to get me a great deal on my honeymoon last year. I couldn't touch the deal via the internet on my own.
