Telephone spam from Lunsford/Stumbo

by Robin Garr » Fri Mar 16, 2007 6:13 pm

Is anyone else getting a lot of telephone spam and E-mail spam from this Democratic gubernatorial team?

I understand that Congress in its wisdom exempted politicians from the national do-not-call registry.

I hope they understand that, legal or not, I will never vote for any politician stupid enough to bother people who have listed themselves as not wishing to be bothered. And I'll go out of my way to recommend to my friends and associates that they do the same.

Phone spam.

by Doogy R » Fri Mar 16, 2007 6:36 pm

So far, I haven't gotten any, phone or e-mail. I am on every no call list known to mankind, but I am sure exemptions exist. Just an FYI, don't know if it matters, but my ONLY phone is a cell. It's also on the no call list.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

Wow you must be getting my share of the calls, 'cause I haven't gotten a thing. Which is OK by me!

I stopped counting at 7  calls. Failed first test of voting consideration: Do not irritate your prospective voter. NEXT :!:

I only use a cell now, and don't get any spam calls (knock on wood).

I have gotten three here in Brandenburg, including one that invited me to attend a forum which, if I had dropped the phone immediately and run to the car, I still could not have gotten there in time.

I had three voice mails from one gubernatorial candidate (personal voice mails, not recordings) asking for an appointment. I didn't call back because I don't support him. He then faxed me (wonder where he got my fax number?) asking for money. I wrote across the top of the fax "XXXX supporter" (XXXX being my candidate) and faxed it back. Funny, haven't heard anything else!
