Has there ever been a TV Series (network or cable) set in Louisville? (Neighboring cities such as Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Nashville, etc. all have had at least one)
If L'ville were to ever have a show, how would you script and cast it?

Wasn't there a reality show shot here?

It's not directly responsive, but the movies Stripes, with Bill Murray, and the Sean Connery Goldfinger both have Louisville-area scenes. I haven't seen Secretariat yet, but I think it's safe to assume that it does, too.

Local filmmaker Stu Pollard has shot a coulpe of movies here. "Nice Guys Sleep Alone" and " Keep Your Distance" both have what living in Louisville is like nicely intertwined in the plots, and both are pretty entertaining. You should be able to rent both at Wild and Wooly. :D
"Southern Belles" the reality TV show was horrible and really contrived.

Please don't forget local film maker Ron Schildknecht's infamous "My Porcelain Past" documenting the final 24 hours of the Bardstown Rd/Eastern Parkway White Castle. Both Eastern Parkway/Bardstown Road and Shelbyville Rd/Chenoweth Lane aluminum rooms loomed large in my youth.

As in mine, although the Highlands location was home base.

Archie Borders shot "Paper Cut" here with some recognizable locations. And "Elizabethtown" featured Louisville quite a bit.

"Elizabethtown" shows quite a bit of Louisville, but was fairly inaccurate in that it seemed to portray it taking 5 or 10 minutes to get from E-town to Louisville, and also had a scene where the route from Louisville to E-town apparently included heading east on I-64 through the Cochran Hill Tunnel.

Can't forget about The Insider starring Russell Crowe. Many, many Louisville scenes as a Louisville-based storyline to boot. Not that we should be proud of the larger context in which the movie is based, but a Louisville movie nonetheless.

Boy, it's a good thing you don't live in New York or LA. If those kind of things get to you your head would explode.
