The 2nd Tuesday Night Diners: Suggestions

by Ed Vermillion » Wed Aug 29, 2007 7:06 am

Hope everybody had a great time at the ballpark and you all came up with some suggestions for our next dinner. I'm gonna throw some out just to get the ball rolling. These are in no order of preference.

Old Stone Inn
Claudia Sanders
Mojitos
Seviche
Havana Rumba
Del Frisco's
El Mundo
Vietnam Kitchen
Mayan Cafe

Looks like the 2nd Tuesday will be Sept. 11th. Looking forward to it.

I don't want my low-profile needs to stifle the group, and I can easily just bow out of any month I have a concern. But of this list, I'd be most comfortable at Seviche, Mayan Cafe or maybe El Mundo, where the chefs or owners already know who I am, or Vietnam Kitchen, where they don't seem to mind. ;)

Another suggestion

by Melissa Richards-Person » Wed Aug 29, 2007 9:24 am

Since Chef Josh Moore was the first chef to join our group (with his lovely wife last night) I suggest we return the favor and go to Volare!

From the picture, it looks like there was a fun and festive crowd! Sound like we have a vote for Volare on the 11th? And well justified in my opinion. Thoughts?
If life's a Banquet, what's with all the Tofu?

Cheers!

So we reward Josh by making him work? ;)

Volare works for me, though ... one of my favorites!

Robin, you must admit, that it's not work if you're doing what you love to do!

Count me in.

Before we decide on Volare though, (and y'all know I a one big Volare fan) we should check to make sure that Dallas and Josh are "cheffing" that evening. I'm certain that Majid wont be there, and it think that Josh said something, last evening, about his not being at Volare on the eleventh also.

Count me in as potential, subject to finding a babysitter. Brian, the bum, is going to be in Phoenix.

Might want to post a separate thread?

by Melissa Richards-Person » Fri Sep 07, 2007 4:46 pm

Hi all!

Just concerned that someone might miss this - as I almost did. if we are saying that the next "gathering" is Tuesday, September 11 at 7pm at Volare, we might want to post a separate thread within this Offline Planner forum and ask folks to RSVP there; and maybe follow up with a post on the main forum directing them to the appropriate new thread in the Offline Planner. We might get a few newbies that way, and ensure that no one involved in the last two events gets missed inadvertantly....

Make sense?
