My poor car bit the dust

I have talked about "Helga" on these forums before, well we were on the Snyder Freeway Saturday and the brakes went out we managed to get her off the road safely but they have not been able to resusitate her so ...We have decided to give her up. We will be putting her up for sale in a couple of weeks but for now she is sittng.Good news we got a 2010 Dodge Caravan to replace her...We will be car poor for a while havent had a car payment for 12 years but oh well

Not having a car payment for 12 years sounds like exactly the right way to avoid becoming car poor, IMO!

That is exactly my point first time in 12 yrs to have to pay a payment, but we will make due and I could have bought 10 cars with what I lost at the casino in those 12 years so glad that stupidity is over.

The transmission went out in my 2000 Tahoe on Labor Day - saying goodbye after 240,000 miles. Buying a replacement this week.

I thought the title of the thread said my poor CAT bit the dust. So imagine my confusion when I read the first post.

Anyway, sorry about the car, glad it's not your cat. :D
