Need a HVAC tech

by David R. Pierce » Mon Jun 06, 2011 9:24 pm

Not a contractor, but a small service guy to fix my a/c. I've tried several local contractors and they try to hard sell a monthly "service" plan. I need the guy with the tools and knowledge to troubleshoot without trying to milk a freon charge into a life commitment. What do you have?

Apple Appliance (502) 635-2450. Craig has been fixing our appliances, installed a new furnace and AC and maintained both for as long as we have owned our house. They answer calls promptly and will come at all hours if you need help. When we called to make an appt to have our furnace checked when our cellar flooded in 09, he showed up 15 minutes later with a pump to supplement our sump pump (which had gone out when we lost power). He has never tried to sell us any service plan and I feel his charges have been reasonable, always within the estimate.

HVAC is what I do.

Call:

John Hornek @ Hornek Ref. - 262-9853
or
Joe @ Glacier - 403-6087

Tell them I sent you.

They won't "sell" you anything you don't need.

Norman's Service Company (ask for Norman) - (502) 664-6569.

We've been pleased with him.

You did more than a slice. You bought me a whole pizza, meatballs, and 2 tasty brews. Thanks.

For future reference, if there are any DIY HVAC members out there, I have access to wholesale priced OEM and universal HVAC parts. Just send me a PM if you need anything.
