Actually....I had them when I was older. lol The twins will soon be 9, the baby just turned 7.
Still, I think they'd like it.
I've only had "decent" food when I went with adults. Last year, we went up but all we ate was pizza (right around the corner but really good) and stuff inside the museums.
We'll be staying more toward "downtown" this year. We'll see what we can get into.

They might like the Billy Goat Tavern if you show them some SNL skits or they are baseball fans.

It's is also a pretty cheap meal, especially for downtown Chicago.

My sons 5th grade class went there as part of their Chicago trip. They liked it very much.

I highly recommend Lou Mitchell's for breakfast if you're staying downtown. It's much cheaper and a whole lot better than eating in your hotel. It's what I define as "a classic joint". They give you Prunes and Orange Wedges in monkey bowls while you wait!
Lunch is OK as long as you like Meatloaf...
Very kid friendly.

We went to Yolk one day for breakfast. I know it's touristy, but it's also good. I had chocolate cream cake french toast. YUMMMM!
THE best deep dish pizza I've had in three trips to Chicago came from Pizano's. OMG! It was the best.
