The Gasthaus German Restaurant is Louisville's only German restaurant. It was established in 1993 and seats approximately 60-70 guests, we are open Tues - Sat from 6 - 9:30 pm (dinner only).
We seek to add a sous chef to the kitchen team of executive chef, pantry chef and management. Experience in cooking German cuisine is not necessary!
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day culinary operations
Coordinate food and kitchen supply orders with management
Check freshness and quality of ingredients
Assist in the development of specials
Maintain a safe and clean kitchen in compliance with the Health Department code
Qualifications:
Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields
Passion for food and cooking techniques
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
