The Fat Lamb seeking FOH staff!

by » Fri Oct 07, 2016 4:25 pm

The Fat Lamb is looking for a serving staff and front of house manager. We are located at Bardstown and Grinstead in the Highlands in the former space occupied by Fontleroy's. The restaurant is owned and operated by its Executive chef Dallas McGarity. We will be serving lowlands and southern cuisine with a heavy emphasis on nouveau Italian and Northern African with a target soft opening coming within the month. Requirements for applicants are as follows:

* Minimum of two or more years of experience working in upscale or fine dining establishments. The more the better!
* Commitment! we have a strong core kitchen and bar team that have years of experience working together and who will be here from the start; we are looking for a strong but small core service staff interested in doing the same.
* A strong foundational knowledge of modern southern, french and Italian cuisine as well as modern bar terminology would be ideal. We are all passionate about these things inside and outside of work and are looking for people who are much the same!
*Negativity is a zero tolerance issue for us! We're looking for people who enjoy their work.
* Calmness under stress, the ability to take constructive criticism and a willingness to learn are all important qualities we're seeking in our staff.

* See all requirements of service staff, but with more experience in multiple FOH capacities esp. hosting and management.
* This position will be like a Maitre D, requiring managment of service staff and scheduling as well as taking and confirmation of reservations and greeting and seating guests on arrival.
* Event planning will be a likely future responsibility and experience with that is a plus.
* Strong soft skills and maturity are a must.
