Monnik Beer Co is located in historic Schnitzelberg and the beers and menu reflect the style of a neighborhood Euro style pub. We are seeking experienced chefs/line cooks to execute upscale comfort pub fare with emphasis on daily specials, using ethically and sustainably raised proteins, as well as utilizing our local produce bounties. This would be a great opportunity to work in collaboration on menu items with the head chef to put this restaurant on the map!
We ask our applicants to have the following skills/qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years experience in a line style kitchen; would train less experienced cooks who worked up from porter/dish
-Open availability; moonlighting will be prohibited-opening hours at the time will be dinner only, closed either Sunday or Monday (TBD)
-Some experience with creating specials "on the fly" based on product availability most welcome
-Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs
-Collaborative and team oriented attitude, able to work with team members of varying experience and backgrounds
-Adaptive mentality; opening restaurants go through many, many changes, often last minute!
