Job Description:
A management trainee under an experienced manager will learn about restaurant operations at Bazo’s Fresh Mexican Grill. The position is a training ground for prospective assistant managers and a stepping-stone to the general manager position. As a management trainee, you will learn effective leadership techniques and gain valuable hands-on experience so the restaurant flourishes once you are put in charge.

Restaurant Operations: Trainees will be taught the basic of Bazo’s restaurant operations. Training will cover topics such as company policies, food preparation, financial reporting, quality control, and team building. You will also learn opening and closing procedures, food safety, and operational procedures including basic accounting, inventory, food preparation and storage. Trainees will be required to train and work at every station, to help understand all aspects of the restaurant operations.

Customer Satisfaction: Management trainees will be trained to build strong customer relations and to encourage valuable new and repeat business. Trainees will learn how to greet customers with friendliness and kindness, conduct formal and informal surveys to get reliable feedback and resolve customer concerns and complaints. Trainees will also organize community outreach programs to develop strong ties within the local market.

Supervisory Tasks: Management trainees must learn and practice supervisory duties. Trainees will learn to communicate company policies to other employees, organize catering events, and oversee day-to-day operations. Trainees will also organize team-building activities to enhance employee morale and increase productivity.

Job Requirements
Applicants must be 21 years or older
Self-motivated and have a strong desire for personal and professional growth.
Possess a positive attitude, strong interpersonal communications skills and work ethic
Available to work required shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Perfect attendance and punctuality
Able to stand and move around for long hours in a fast-paced environment
Basic math and accounting skills – High school diploma required, secondary degree preferred
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Supervisory experience preferred
Must pass mandatory drug-test
