We’re seeking Sales Manager candidates with upscale/fine-dining experience for the Eddie Merlot’s in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Sales Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for selling and booking private rooms and available dining space for parties, banquets, meetings, social gatherings, and events. This position has a strong focus on outside sales, visiting area businesses and organizations and finding creative ways to increase private dining revenue. The Sales Manager sets objectives for revenue growth from banquet and catering sales, develops new business, and builds guest loyalty by delivering exceptional service for private gatherings and throughout the restaurant. Additional responsibilities include event planning and communications, public relations, telephone sales, and other operational duties.
The Sales Manager is an important part of the restaurant’s leadership team, which focuses on meeting corporate goals and objectives, maintaining operational excellence, training and developing team members, growing our business, and upholding extremely high standards for food quality, hospitality, and guest service.

Two or more years’ sales experience and proven success with driving sales to meet business objectives.
Demonstrated understanding of dining establishments, catering, banquet, or related hospitality operations. Two or more years’ restaurant or catering experience preferred.
Market familiarity and contacts preferred.
College degree in sales, marketing, business, or hospitality preferred.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Professional appearance and excellent social skills.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, sales and marketing software tools, and social media communications.
Proven time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
Team-oriented and passionate about delivering excellent guest service.
Must have a driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
Work schedule is primarily day-time, into the early evening; but must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
