Production Assistant
Gelato Gilberto is looking for a hardworking and reliable production assistant to help make our gorgeous gelato for our restaurant and wholesale clients in a fun, pleasant and collegial environment. Duties would include procuring supplies, producing gelato and sorbetto, maintaining a clean kitchen and packaging gelato for wholesale sales.
The position is currently part time but will grow as the company grows. Schedule would include early morning production shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. During the season (May-October), there is the possibility of adding additional event shifts on weekends. First month’s pay is $9/hr, to go up to $10/hr after 30-day trial period.
Candidates should be easy to work with, have good communication skills, attention to detail, basic math skills, the ability to lift 50 pounds and a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. No previous experience is necessary, although previous kitchen experience may be a plus. This would be a great job to supplement a weekend restaurant job.
