Boston Eats

by Joseph M » Tue Nov 10, 2009 1:49 am

I'm taking a week-long trip to Boston over part of my Christmas break, and I was hoping for some restaurant suggestions while I'm in the big city. I'll be on a somewhat limited budget, so the top tables in the city will certainly be out of the question, but I'm open to any tips beyond that.

I'd like to try some hole-in-the-wall local joints if anyone knows of such restaurants.

Hmm... Bars, too.

All recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I'll second the North End for the Mom and Pop Eyetalian places. Important=>=>=>The Modern Bakery in the North End is a must stop for Italian pastry. Major Yum.
