Thanks, Justin! We went last week, stayed in Dublin and visited the corn and Leatherface you mentioned.
We also went to see their Dancing Rabbits Sculpture which we found really cool- 20-25 foot tall rabbits with lots of recycled objects embedded in the bronze. Rounded things out with a trip to The Book Loft in their cute Germantown- local bookstore with 30 rooms of every book imaginable.
We also went to Jeni's Splendid twice ( yum!!) and brought back a couple of pints with dry ice, only to find out that Whole Foods Louisville now carries flavors.
We were in the Science museum and zoo ( both great!) so long that we only had two dinners out. The Dublin Village Tavern had a great pub vibe and happy hour, but the food while very good wasn't up to Rover standards from my point of view. For pre-theater we ate at Manifesto Tuscan- practically next door to the Columbus Theater. This one was a great find for pre-theater/downtown- mostly small plates with a cool atmosphere and very prompt and friendly service. Everything we had was very good. Their North Market ( indoor food market) downtown was a great source for food and related items; there are numerous stalls selling everything from Indian, to speciality pretzels, jewish deli, Vietnamese , etc. Great place for lunch ( and a local beer). My fave food find, however was Pistascia Vera
http://www.pistaciavera.com/- a lovely bakery /coffee shop with wonderful dessers and french macarons.
