Okay, I have to ask. Family history? Or coincidence of names.
(Sorry I don't have much to give on your actual question, Ed. I traveled extensively through that region for about a month when I was working for a national non-profit back in the early '90s, but that was about 20 years ago, and i was on a non-profit's budget. I'm pretty sure I went to a steak house in Omaha and also went to a brew pub there, but that's all I've got.
