Atlanta suggestions

by Deb Hall » Fri Dec 27, 2013 2:53 pm

All,
We are heading to Atlanta for a few days with our 9 year old. We will be staying downtown ( close to Centennial Park), but we also be venturing out to Stone Mountain Park and other areas. Not fine dining with the 9 year old in tow, but definitely up for some great food and unique experiences. Walking in downtown or access via Marta a plus, but we do have a car and will drive for food. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Deb,

These options will require a car...

Flying Biscuit is our go to breakfast spot.

The family (including kids ages 6 and 9) enjoyed Holeman & Finch. The menu is tapas and everything we tried was great. We could not justify getting there early enough to order a burger with our 6 and 9 year old in tow.

There is a large ethnic market in Buford that was fun to visit. Both the market and Holeman & Finch decisions came after watching Anthony Bourdain's 24 hour show in Atlanta.
