I lived in Etown for 30 years...turn around and take him back to Louisville...nothing but chains in Etown.

I'm afraid E'town isn't really seen as a culinary destination. To be just a little more optimistic, though, the Stone Hearth has been around for many years and is at least locally owned and operated: Maybe something like John E's in Louisville?

I think there are also a few taqueria-style Mexican spots and some mom n pop Chinese, if either of those options sound preferable to the chains.

Also, is the Whistle Stop in Glendale, Ky., back in business? It's not far cross-country from E'town.

Enjoy your visit!

Oops! Looks like the Gondolier Restaurant in E'town closed a couple of years ago. Sorry.
