London, Canada

by Alison Hanover » Sun May 15, 2011 2:55 pm

Hi, we have decide to go to London, Canada for five days around the middle of June. Any ideas about pubs with good live music and must sees? Not interested in fine dining, just good food and atmospheric places.

Good wings and mussels. They usually have some good live acoustic music.

We thought Pelee Island was cool, but I can't see spending more than a few hours there. Just might want to consider that when planning.

Justin, Thanks for the websites. Will def check out the Whiskey Well. I quite like the idea of being on a tiny island. The bed and breakfast we are staying has a tiki bar/restaurant. Then there is the Scudder Bear Bar and Grill for the next day. It takes 4 hours to ride bikes around the island, plenty of time to sit on the B&B's patio and play scrabble and drink some lovely drinks. I think two days will be fine.

If you are going to relax then you'll love it, very quiet and quaint. Make sure you go the the southern most point in Canada, Point Pelee. You can literally walk as far south as Canada goes, straight into Lake Erie. There are also some neat boardwalks and canoe opportunities.
