HELP! Need to know about a recipe substitution

by Ellen White » Sat Dec 20, 2008 11:28 am

I am making a Raspberry Ripple Cake for Christmas. It calls for raspberry extract. Of course, Kroger doesn't have this, and Campbell's is sold out. Campbell's does have Cran-Raspberry extract. The cake uses cranberry juice in both the cake and the glaze.
Do you think I could use the cran-raspberry extract, or would that make it too cranberry-ish?
Thanks.

Go with the cran-raspberry and taste-test ... add just a little more sweetener if the balance doesn't seem right. :)
