Cheapest place to buy thermometer batteries?

by Marsha L. » Wed Dec 17, 2008 4:53 pm

My digital thermometer battery went ker-plunk, and I need it tonight because I'm making homemade gourmet marshmallows for some of my coffee-slinging buddies. Where's a good, cheap place to buy "pill-batteries" (like a watch battery)?

Walgreen's or CVS would probably be most convenient for you, Marsha. They're all batteried up!

I think I saw them at Harbor Freight (bardstown and hikes ln) for two for a buck last week.

I really should have grabbed a bunch. Beats paying three bucks at the big boxes.

Turned out the thermometer was hosed - the battery had barely been used! I got a new one  But it never hurts to have a few of those batteries in the drawer - and I've never been to Harbor Freight; what kind of a place is it?

I have gone through many digital thermometers, they just dont seem to hold up. Harbor Freight? Well its a cheap tool store. Back in Chicago that type of place was known as Taiwan Tools...they might get through one or two jobs. Disposable drills., etc. The best thing about Harbor Freight,Hikes ln, is that it is quite near the Bosna Mak(Jasmine Bakery). Stop in for one of the best gyros in town or perhaps the goulash and a piece of baklava.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.
