Okay, i've been working on cleaning up the mail/paper mess that has accumulated on my kitchen counters in the past two weeks. I've made a big dent, but I'm not home free on that one yet. Now as to the cabinet over my built-in refrigerator: it contains: a hot or cold herbal body wrap (This cabinet is the nearest storage to the microwave and freezer that are required for its use.), a 10-piece Silicone bakeware set that I bought two years ago and have yet to use (Actually, until I looked in the cabinet, I had forgotten that I had bought it. I try to use it during the upcoming holiday season.), an empty wood block for my knife set that has been replaced by the built-in knife drawer in my new kitchen (Don't know why I am keeping it.), a large ceramic pitcher that I often use to hold a bouquet of fresh flowers on the kitchen counter in the spring and summer (It's the only cabinet that has enough height to store it.), and a chipped lefse turner that my uncle made and that I will keep in his memory forever (Lefse is the Norweigian soft flat bread made from riced potatoes that I no longer make since I found a wonderful online source). I don't think that is too bad after all it is a storage cabinet!

We have a 19th century cabinet with (mostly) historic cookbooks inside.

Our microwave, a bag of plain pita chips, a bag of praline pecans, a bag of dark chocolate cranberries, 2 bags of turkey jerky (ugh!), a box of irish oatmeal, 2 baskets, an aluminum pan, several packages of gum, a tub of vitamins, a plant, and some dust. That about covers it.

One of those rabit wine opener thingys that I never learned to use.

List your sins, people!

Marsha,

Having just moved in a couple of months ago we haven't had time to accumulate too much stuff on top of the fridge...but your note got me to wondering, so I stood on tippy toe and discovered where I'd left my old (computer) hard drive...This made Becky very happy because it's been missing for a while and she was concerned I'd never find it again.
