Ok, so I have been pondering buying a dutch oven from LC for awhile now. My birthday was yesterday and thanks to a few nice gifts of cash I am pretty close to buying one. I'm looking at the 5 1/2 qt dutch oven. Suggestions? Comments? Warnings? Places where I can get them cheaper than what they go for at Williams Sonoma? Thanks for any feedback!

Try TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I have seen them there.

Dine Company sells a couple of nice ones, restaurant grade so they'll last in the home forever and they have to be cheaper than WS.

I managed to snag two of those at the same yard sale 20+ years ago, great for just about everything. If you are in to the yard sale experience it is amazing what kind of cookware and kitchen gadgets get discarded every year.

Dont buy one from WS. I have picked up a nice one at a yard sale as well. Have seen some at TJ also, but they often have some that are not the real Le Creuset. I would not reccommend those as the enamel job is not very good on some of them.Ebay often has some good deals, but watch for shipping costs. I have to say the Creusets are some of my favorite pieces of kitchen equipment, most versatile. Worth every penny, they should last forever. Also a question to one of the above posts about units for sale at Dine, I did not know that there is a commercial version of Le Creuset, what sets them apart from the regular line? Its hard to believe that they could get anymore heavy duty than they already are, but I am thinking I need to make a trip out there. Thanks

Kris, I have several items from LC and love them all! I really love my dutch oven. I use it for everything. I have seen LC at Tuesday Mornings before, but you never know what or if they will have something. But it's worth checking out. But I think you should get one!

I saw the real thing at TJ Maxx, but like John said, they also had some imitators. Worth a shot, for sure!

Apologizes, I was under the impression that they had them (in addition to the regular sort they carry). Sorry for the false lead, Dine does have nice (non-LC) dutch ovens, however...

I get excited sometimes...

We carry Le Creuset. In fact, I am in the process of placing my big summer order. If there is something in specific you are wanting, please give me a call.
