Sounds good...but I have a recipe (from back in the 70's) for Brownies that I'm quite sure will blow these away.

Well, I don't think those would go well at my daughter's school.
On the other hand....

Are those the kind you smoke on the grill??? (I know how you hate making anything smokable in the oven . . . )

Glad you posted these again--I was just thinking about them today. I will make them this week as they are always a big hit at our neighborhood Derby party!

Glad you've made this one an evergreen, Deb. It's well worth the seasonal encores!

The Brown-Forman website has a number of Derby related recipes (drinks & food)
This recipe has been updated to exclude the WR bourbon and the mint extract in favor of the same quantity of "Early Times Kentucky Whisky Mint Julep Cocktail"

Do you think these could be mad with the gluten-free flour substitute, or would you advise against it?
Thanks!

Sorry, Stacie- I never saw this; we were out of the country.
I can't really say- I have no experience working with gluten-free flour. The brownies are kind of cake-y and a little fudge-y, if that helps at all.
