Just to be a trouble-maker, I've got to say I don't like swiss chard much. It wants to be spinach, but it doesn't make it.
But doing it Italian-style - sauteeing it with garlic in olive oil just until it wilts and turns tender, then hitting it with S&P and dried red-pepper flakes - is about as good a way as any.
