Just to be a trouble-maker, I've got to say I don't like swiss chard much. It wants to be spinach, but it doesn't make it.

But doing it Italian-style - sauteeing it with garlic in olive oil just until it wilts and turns tender, then hitting it with S&P and dried red-pepper flakes - is about as good a way as any.

Make sure you start the chopped up stems before the leaves.

Hmmmm....I'm making spanakopita today. I think I'll just add it to the spinach. Or will I be making some horrific chemical concoction that will reek of dead sardines and billow pink noctious fumes once cooked? (Because worse things have happened in my kitchen. )
