Ginger beer

by Carla G » Sat Dec 19, 2015 7:22 pm

I love a good ginger ale, something with a bit of burn. Canada Dry and Schweps are ok but not that satisfying. I ran across some Goya Ginger beer in the little Crestwood Market near my home. Got it home, read the ingedient label finding "capsicum" listed. "Really? Hmmmm...I wonder how much?" Well, a lot it would seem! Very strong ginger taste backed up with enough hot pepper to make your lips swell. Wanted to finish the bottle because the flavor was yummy but could not because the burn was so intense. Some of you pepper lovers would really love it. :x

Carla, I tried that Goya Ginger Beer. Very bold ginger taste but I didn't get the heat. Of course, I'm the guy who ordered spice level 4 at A Taste of Thai and found the heat to be lacking.
Great food along with great company is truly one of lifes best treasures.

Reeds extra ginger beer is my favorite. Kroger and Fresh Market carries it.
