Derrs Sodas

by Carla G » Fri Nov 06, 2015 11:29 pm

Crestwood Market carries the line of Derr's sodas. I picked up a blonde cream soda and found it to be just like the wonderful cream soda I used to enjoy in New York years and years ago. No high fruitose corn syrup. Can't wait to try the root beer.

Funny how the simple expedient of putting back cane sugar in place of HFCS can improve a soft drink, Carla! It's interesting to see Mexican-made Coke moving into the Norteamericano market, not just at taquerias, because people like it better.

Speaking of Mexican soft drinks, I think the Jarritos fruit sodas (also made with cane) are good, too. I particularly like the Tamarindo with tacos and such ... that sweet-tart tamarind flavor beats heck out of Diet Coke. :P
