Shout out for peanut brittle

by Carla G » Fri Oct 09, 2015 6:47 pm

I love good peanut brittle and have never had time to make my own. Store bought brittle is so flat and solid. Break your teeth sort of stuff. Tonight was a "meat day" for me so I opted to support my local Lion's Club fish fry. On my way out I noticed they were selling homemade peanut brittle. A 1 lb. bag was $4. It was huge. The brittle was the best EVER! It stood 3/4 of an inch tall and was finely honeycombed throughout. Very brittle indeed. I just love eating at and supporting these kind of church/social club gatherings because you never know when you'll find that one individual that does one thing extrodinarily well.

Where is this Lions Club?

Ballardsville Lion Club is on North Camden Lane . North Camden runs off of Hwy 22 just before you get into Centerville. After the Crestwood area . Does that make sense?
