Joel,

Chopping and freezing them sounds like an excellent idea ! ( though I may try the soda and a poppers recipe I found that gets raves). Do you freeze them loose in ziplock bags? I do this with other produce and it would be great to be able to grab a small amount of jalapeno's whenever I need them.

I freeze them all the time. Just make sure they are dry and you will be able to pull one or two out as needed.

when I've frozen them it's just been in heavier duty ziplocs or similar.

I've done this several varieties of hot / chili pepper with no problems.
