Looking for quail meat

by Adam C » Wed Feb 26, 2014 8:56 pm

Summer is coming up and I will be smoking meat. I would love to find some affordable quail meat (aka not from whole foods). Has anyone seen any anywhere? I'll be on the lookout and will keep you posted if I find some.

Adam, I've definitely seen packs of frozen quail - maybe four, six or eight to a tray - at the Valu Market in South Louisville (Iroquois Manor shopping center).

You might try these guys. They actually do hunts but I'm sure you could make some sort of arrangement for some fresh, not frozen birds. (Scratch that, season was over Jan 31.)
