Before I place an online order for Nueske's applewood smoked bacon, does anyone know where I can find it locally? OR, a comparable local bacon even?

It makes me want to cry that the most obvious answer to that question used to be "Doll's or Burger's."

Paul's, possibly? Or maybe Valu Market? This question needs a definitive answer.

Lisa,
We are huge Nueske's applewood smoked bacon lovers and grab it whenever we see it. We also treat ourselves to mailorder once in a blue moon. Our two replacements when we can't get the real stuff- thick sliced applewood smoked bacon from the meat counters at 1) EarthFare and 2) Fresh Market. ( Haven't done the second option for over a year ; I assume they still sell the same product) .

If you find the Nueske's brand locally, please share ( the details- I would never ask someone to share that bacon  )

I received a Twitter response from Nueske's. They indicated I could find it at Fresh Market.
Sure enough, BUT it is in the deli case and there is no signage to indicate that it is Nueske's (just applewood smoked bacon). So you can order as much or little as you want....SWEET!

I'm a fan of Nueske's as well. But if you are looking for really good smokehouse bacon you may want to try Father's from Gatton Farms! It's my personal favorite! :D

I don't know if this is the one referred to earlier, but my favorite bacon the Applewood Smoked Bacon in the Meat Department at Fresh Market will be on sale "Buy One Pound, Get One Pound Free" on Tuesdays, December 3, 10, 17 and 31.
