Galumpkies

I need some advice. One of my dear friends talks about these stuffed cabbage rolls all the time. I'm thinking of surprising her and making some- but I don't eat beef and she has recently stopped too.
Has anyone tried making them with ground chicken or turkey? I'm thinking maybe blanching the cabbage leaves longer, using some extra fat in the meat, and cooking them for only an hour or so.

Of course I could just make grilled chicken and cole slaw.

I look forward to your thoughts

YES! Ground turkey works great for cabbage rolls.

I'll get back to you on the specifics,

Just popped back to say that my galumpkie specialist tells me that the recipe isn't different for turkey than any other, though she uses chicken stock as the base for the tomato-y gravy.

You have a PM, Gary.
