Need peanut butter frosting recipe, please!

by Kimberly W » Fri Nov 16, 2007 12:17 pm

For T'Giving I am making a chocolate layer cake and would like to do a peanut butter frosting/filling on the inside with a chocolate frosting on the outside. The peanut butter frosting recipe I have made before used cream cheese, butter, p. sugar, and peanut butter, but wasn't very "peanut buttery". Does anyone have a better one?

Thanks!

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons milk, or as needed
2 cups confectioners' sugar

DIRECTIONS
Place the butter and peanut butter into a medium bowl, and beat with an electric mixer. Gradually mix in the sugar, and when it starts to get thick, incorporate milk one tablespoon at a time until all of the sugar is mixed in and the frosting is thick and spreadable. Beat for at least 3 minutes for it to get good and fluffy.

by Lia U. » Tue Jan 08, 2008 6:11 pm

5 T. peanut butter
3 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
2/3 cup butter (very soft, barely melted - not hot)
1 T. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix 1 cup of the conf. sugar & melted butter, add bit of the milk. Add peanut butter (little more or little less). Add 2 1/2 cups of conf. sugar. Add more milk if too thick and more conf. sugar if too thin, until mixture reaches good spreading consistency. Frost cake.
