New Dining feature airs tonight on KET2 "Louisville Lif

by Robin Garr » Thu Nov 08, 2007 6:16 pm

Tonight at 7:30pm on KET2 Louisville Life fires-up its new "Dining" segment!

With more than 2500 restaurants, it's no secret that Louisville is a "foodie" town! Louisville Life explores what's cooking on the dining scene and learns what local experts say has been the River City's recipe for success.

This feature segment includes interviews with food critic Robin Garr and Chef John Castro of Winston's at Sullivan University. The restaurant Proof on Main is also profiled, as we talk to both Chef Michael Paley and General Manager Jeremy Beck.

Other stories to be seen in this program include a visit to the home of Cousin Willie's Popcorn, a look at the Food Literacy Project, and we share food firsts with Louisville origins, including the Hot Brown. Sarah Fritschner, former food editor at The Courier-Journal, is our in-studio guest.

This special food-themed edition of Louisville Life airs tonight on KET2 at 7:30pm and again on Sunday at noon. You will also be able to stream the program online starting tomorrow evening at http://www.ket.org/loulife, where it can be viewed indefinitely. Web pages with images from tonight's show are already online.

Will this be available for viewing on-line (no TiVo here)? We're doing the beer thing at Caffe Classico tonight, but I would really like to see this show. Are you going to appear with your face blanked out and voice altered? :)

Yep, there's a link in the announcement to streaming video, which will start tomorrow at the link given.

We do take some steps to conceal my identity, and it's kind of fun. Watch and see. :)

Enjoy Caffe Classico tonight! We've been planning to get over there on a Thursday too.
